Minutes of the August 9^th meeting

At 7:14pm Joe Cooper called the meeting to order.   Ray Brown read the treasurer’s report.  We have $900.00 in uncommitted funds, plus we are collecting dues now. There were no minutes read, because no minutes were taken at the banquet. 

Our BBQ grill that we used for our tailgate parties was stolen and we need to replace it.  We found out that a basic grill like the one we had would cost about $1,500.00.  If you wish to make a donation toward buying a new grill please let Joe Cooper know.  By the end of the meeting we already had $500.00 pledged.

Joe said we had two options:  One, we could save up and buy one like we had for around $1,500.00 or, two, just buy a small BBQ grill that can be put into the back of a truck for about $300.00.

Mel said he knew of a grill similar to ours, maybe even a little nicer, that he could get for around $1,000.00.  It is a used one that someone was selling.  Mel will give Joe the address and phone number so Joe can take a look at it.

Parking:  Joe said he must know the names of the people who want to park in the lot by Friday at noon August 12^th.  Your name needs to be on the list even if you wait to pay on the day you park.

For Saturday’s game we do not have a grill.  It was discussed whether or not we should have food catered.  It was voted on and passed that we would not have catering for the pre-season games and we would have BBQ catered for the first game on Monday night with the Eagles.

Joe announced that Angela who had been our contact with the Falcons is no longer working with the Falcon organization.  So now we have no contact with the Falcons at all.  We do have an autographed helmet that we can use for our big raffle this year.

Membership dues of $24.00 are due by the 31^st of August.  The renewal form was in the newsletter or you can go online at www.falconfanatics.com.

The election for new officers will be in four months.  We need to get new people involved and new people to serve.

Chuck announced the next hospital party would not cost the club anything because two volunteers donated the money for the party.  Chuck will be announcing the date soon.

At 8:05pm the meeting was adjourned.
