Falcon Fanatics
Minutes of the October 11, 2005 meeting

At 7:10 Joe Cooper called the meeting to order. April Ruffino read the minutes of the September meeting and Ray Brown gave the treasurer’s report. Fanatics $2180 bottom line balance.

For next year’s raffle, Joe is going to ask Tommy Nobis about getting a Vick signed jersey.
If a Vick jersey is not available, the club has voted for the 36” flat screen TV as back up.
The Fanatics voted for the TV instead of trying to put a package together for an away Falcon’s game because the cost is about the same.

If the Fanatics are able to get a Vick signed jersey for the raffle, Selinda has a frame that has a former Falcon’s player’s jersey in it. She will take the jersey out and donate this frame for the Vick jersey.

Since Angela Couch is no longer with the Falcon’s , Joe has been able to get with Chris Demos about getting speakers to our meetings. Chris has sent Joe via email a form to be filled out concerning what speakers the Fanatics are interested in having.
In the email, Chris informed Joe that four weeks notice would be needed to head up a speaker. The Fanatics decided to pay each speaker $100.00 and that money would be used at that person’s discretion.

The various speakers that were mentioned in the discussion were Chuck Smith and Gerald Riggs.
Dan and Selinda ran into Chuck Smith recently. He was asked if was interested in speaking at one of our meetings and he said he would.
Miriam contacted Gerald Riggs and he told Miriam he would speak again.

Chuck suggested having our meeting in the glass room of the ESPN zone after Face 2 Face on Thursdays during football season. The speaker will already be there.
If the decision is made to hold the meetings at ESPN zone during football season, the club will need to decide where to meet after football season.

Meeting adjourned at 8:10 pm.
