December 2004
Meeting Minutes

FALCON FANATICS

Minutes of December 14th 2004 meeting

At 7:13pm Joe Cooper called the meeting to order.  Gail Clancy read the minutes for November and Ray Brown gave the treasurer’s report.

Joe Cooper reminded everyone the at home game this weekend will be on Saturday December 18th at 8:30pm.  Tailgating will start at 2:00pm and this time it is “Potluck” where everyone will be bringing something to eat.  We will also be having the drawing for the Michael Vick framed and autographed jersey.  Keep selling the raffle tickets until then.  We have made $457.82 on the Michael Vick jersey so far.

Joe Cooper talked to some players during the VIP party he attended and all but Michael Vick said they would like to come to our meeting.  As a result, as of now we expect to have Alge Crumpler as our guest speaker in January,

Joe Cooper announced that the Falcon Fanatics will have reserved spots for parking at the Dome for the play-off games.  Just pay for your parking spot when you get there.

Joe Cooper received a helmet signed by the entire Falcon team for next years big raffle.

We have around $3000.00 in our treasury going into next year, not counting the up coming tailgate party and the play offs.

Joe also announced we are out of small items to raffle off.   We need t-shirts, mugs, key-chains, coozies, and other small items.  We were all urged to go out and buy up to $40.00 worth of Falcon items. We can get reimbursed from the treasury or donate the items.

Kim Montcalm announced she is going to do the Pizza Parties for the children’s hospitals again next year starting in January.

We nominated Tommy Nobis for the Atlanta Hall of Fame.  Larry Winters, President of the Atlanta Hall of Fame attended our meeting.

 New business:

There was no new business but Frank Battle, who is a builder, told us a nice story about how he built a home that Warrick Dunn bought for a single mother.  Warren gives three homes each year to single moms as part of his “Homes for the Holidays” program.  Frank said it was so fantastic how Warren had the whole house furnished right down to food in the refrigerator.  It was a fun day for Frank as well as for the single mom who was very surprised.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:50pm.
